Pros

Good pay, wanting you to grow and have a long term career, lots of development training. Love setting work goals ever year and every 3 months? This place is for you.

Cons

Lots of development training whether you are intruseted of not. Will not work with a school schedule even though they encourage employees to go to school. Too many hands in too many pies they have lots of departments that are cross trained in sales and not in places they should. Customer care should not be in the sale of accessories they should be in payment arrangements and more trouble shooting issues. Don't use your vacation, sick , or personal days till you have accrued them even if they are available if you have to leave the company for any reason you will get a bill for those hours.

Pros

-Great benefits for full & part-time

Cons

Pay- The company used to have a wonderful compensation plan. Commission that once was great have been noticeably slashed. Environment- It can be very stressful at times. The flow of your day varies on the interactions you get. Work life balance is very difficult. While you do have personal and vacation time it can be difficult to take depending on monthly quota expectations or staffing. You will have a different schedule constantly every week. Roles- As I've stated, the previous wage structure off balanced some of the stress, now it only enhances it. Currently due to a decrease in foot traffic, U.S. Cellular has been piling more and more work on the reps. While at any job there are new workloads it seems almost weekly there are new additional tasks that need to be juggled. Systems- feels outdated and slow to respond. System errors are quite common and can sometimes be very frustrating for the customer and associate. For a technology company the systems used are quite behind. Future- While I loved U.S. Cellular in the past I feel like it is losing its way. It feels like little inspiration or innovation as the company pushes into the future.
