Pros

The work life balance is good, and the people are generally nice. The 401k match is low, but the vesting period is short. They pay bonuses even if the company doesn't meet its goals.

Cons

They don't offer much time off to start and won't let you negotiate for more. They keep people who aren't skilled at their jobs as long as they fit in with the culture. There is very little room for upward movement. You can be an expert in your field, but if you're not a cultural fit by your manager's definition (and it's very subjective), you won't succeed.

Pros

Customer service oriented, competitive pay, company gets all employees together each year for a kickoff where employees are allowed to mingle with the executives. The company cares about it's customers to a great extent.

Cons

Low tolerance for mistakes, high turnover. Long tenured associates are quick to be let go. High turnover amongst management and employees. They are slow to transition to new industry trends.

Don't drink the kool-aid

Pros

Commission based, so you can work harder, not longer for your money GREAT benefits that start your first day including BCBS medical, dental, vision, 401k, 2 weeks paid vacation after being there for 90 days

Cons

They are very cult-like NO work-like balance at all They have this program called mythos. They expect all of their zombies to drink the kool-aid. I was fired for not drinking the kool-aid. The exact reason that was told to me as I was getting canned was "Your culture just doesn't fit ours." I was always one of the top sales performers, with lots of satisfied, loyal customers. They have a cookie cutter sales technique, that they MAKE you follow, even if you can make more sales doing it a different, just-as-ethical way.
