Pros

U.S. Cellular does a great job respecting its employees. Work life balance is good for working in retail. You will still have to work nights, weekends, and holidays but management really tries to respect family life and requests off. The benefits are really good. I've worked at much larger companies and only one of them has better benefits. There are opportunities for advancement. However, you should be willing to relocate unless you live in the Chicago area where headquarters is.

Cons

At the RWC level, the starting hourly rate is between $10 and $12 per hour. If you had a good month in sales, commissions can be 1k - 3k. However, commissions can fluccuate greatly so don't depend on them. It's a great entry level position but look to move into management or corporate if you want a stable income.

Pros

A lot of opportunity for advancement. They also have a decent compensation structure for leaders and a very generous benefits package. It is a true learning environment. They focus on associate development and stress the importance of always growing in your position.

Cons

The changes over the past year have set off a fire storm of reorganization. Sales reps compensation package is competative but the lack of traffic made it hard for them to hit goals. The company is not growing at a fast enough rate. The culture can be a good and bad thing. Many good employees let go for things that weren't major offenses. Very easy for leadership to be let go.
