Pros

Great learning experience while attending school Great people Located at UT Southwestern Campus, allowing for collaborations between many disciplines

Cons

Administration was far away (in Houston). If problems occurred with grant department or payroll they were sometimes difficult to deal with from a distance. Usually everything went well, though.

Unethical Organization

Pros

There are isolated islands of competency. In comparison, good benefits. If you want to be lazy and accept that you have to play the game, this is the place for you.

Cons

It feels like the management appoints people according to their personal preferences and not according to the applicant's professional accomplishments. People tend to make themselves look better by talking behind the back of others to make them look worse. Hierarchy is everything.
