Decline in leadership

Pros

I appreciate the culture at UTHealth and the benefits available to employees. Most coworkers are very helpful in adjusting to the role. There are a lot of different focuses to work in.

Cons

I have worked at UTHealth for a year prior to this last time and the leadership that I worked under this go was really disappointing. The commute to MedCenter was taxing and my department did not offer hybrid options. My supervisor was unresponsive and I was unable to receive training or clarity about my role. The grant stipulations were ever changing. This experience was very different from my past employment at UTHealth which I really enjoyed.

Pros

Lots of benefits are offered

Cons

You have to pay to park every day, and it can cost $200 a month. Management has a special ability in chasing away true talent. The departments are so sectioned off, that many times your hands are tied bc the dept refuses to allow others to access very simple tools.
