High turn over. Management is not part of the team and acts it. ETO policy. Need 24hr notice to call in sick without getting points on a point based disciplinary system.

The job is relaxed, and the department is very friendly and welcoming. Work-life balance is a strength, and when I left most people were working from home the vast majority of the time.

Cons

For the same reason that the department is easy-going, it's also somewhat mediocre. Ultimately, it's a good job for individuals who are happy to coast, but not for those who want growth, interesting work or high earning potential. The department also suffered heavy attrition in the wake of the pandemic, and lost talent and core leadership which it has struggled to replace.
