Stiff management, strict work environment. Not a very friendly place to work and no real chance for advancement. It's high-stress and there seems to be an almost adversarial relationship between workers and management.
The dress code is ridiculous and old-fashioned. Females in the office are discouraged from wearing pants and if they do, it has to be a matching pantsuit with jacket and pants. No suit separates. If a dress or skirt is worn, pantyhose are required. Very strict about this. As I said, very old-fashioned. Even if you wear pants, you are supposed to at least wear knee-highs. No bare skin showing on legs or feet. It's surprising that heels aren't required too. I had to buy a new wardrobe when starting there full of pant suits. I despise wearing hose of any kind so I wore flats and really long pants so my shoes would be covered. I was even fussed at for having acrylic nails which I convinced them to le me keep. A strange out-dated work environment to say the least.
