$60,000+ Great Sales Career

Pros

Sales reps have great support system by their admins. Good starting salary, wage increase yearly, plus bonuses during contests. Good training - managers ride with you to help improve your skills, online exams, always receiving new information on products. Weekly meetings, you work from home, schedule your own appointments (with correct size of customer and dollar potential). Everything is measurable (i.e., orders after visit (vs.) sales prior to visiting the customer). From day one you are told you are lucky to get the job.. due to the 1000+ applicants who have applied before you. Bachelor degree is a requirement. Knowing AS400 is a plus and can get you the job - 75% of all reps coming from Enterprise RAC.

Cons

Long Hours. Very Stressful. If you are not a perfectionist you are screwed. You are micromanaged to death (meaning, management performs surveys by calling your customers and asking them questions about you. If you visit a large company that do not know one another, during the call from management, you are screwed and it looks like you were never there. Call Sheets have to be very accurate (dot your I's and cross your T's). If you have experience in sales - forget it.., you are still treated like you still wear diapers and need your ass wiped by mommy or daddy Uline manager. You may hit top sales or be in the Presidents cup, but you will still be told you are not doing your job good enough.

Pros

Sparkling clean building, good team work from co workers, fairly decent pay and benefits. 16 personal days off per year.

Cons

Micro management style; must have learned management from Kim Jong Il. A number of staff referred to upper management as "Dear Leaders."
