Pros

The pay and 401k are exceptional. The benefits are definitely above average. Bonuses make every day in December at Uline feel like Christmas. At the Corporate office specifically, there are fantastic perks like the cafe and massage parlor. The grounds at every location are impeccable, and every location has gym access. All these are great reasons why to want to work for Uline. But the best part is that they hire the cream of the crop, which means great coworkers that drive results. Everyone is fun, but at the same time the company continues to see upward growth year over year.

Cons

Dress code expectations are relayed at the very start of the interview process, so there are no surprises. That being said, it used to be more common for workplaces to be business professional than it is today. As more millennials join the workforce, management needs to adapt to their pain points, such as the dress code, ability to work remotely, etc.

Pros

The Uline Hudson branch is a strong team! Great working relationships between each department. Great friendships in & out of work. This branch is the perfect spring board for a person looking for adventure. Uline will internally transfer employees in good standing to any one of our US locations. As well, we prefer to promote from within whenever possible. Customer Service, the Warehouse, and Sales departments offer strong Uline training for long term success; whether staying in that division or looking for other experiences in other areas of the company. The fact Uline offers a generous benefits package inclusive of 401K matching dollar for dollar up to 5%, medical, dental & vision coverage, life Ins, paid PTO, annual bonuses for ALL employees, annual wage increases, tuition reimbursement up to $5000 annually for all employees, and numerous employee appreciation events, annually is very appealing. This is not seen in many organizations!

Cons

Uline has a strong internal culture that does not appeal to everyone. We have high standards, expect honest hard work from all employees, and operate a no-nonsense environment. Persons who struggle with open communication, and transparent discussion when opportunity for improvement arises, will not do well. Being in a branch often frustrates those wanting advancement opportunities only housed in our corporate offices ( Pleasant Prairie. WI), and not being able / willing to transfer. It is hard seeing great staff leave for local opportunities not available in this branch.

Thank you for your review, and your time with us. This past year we filled 50% of non-entry level positions with internal candidates. We value all of our employees and the work they do for us, which is why we offer the benefits and amenities you mentioned above. We continue to develop and implement new professional and talent development initiatives that are available to all our employees at every branch.
