Pros

Solid pay and benefits (if they actually hire you, which is unlikely)

Cons

This company will 100 percent use you in your interviews for practice for their hiring team. I have seen them put people through 3-4 interviews and extensive testing with absolutely no intent of actually hiring the person. They constantly act as if they are hiring, but when it comes time to actually complete the hiring process they will either stop communicating with you or make up and excuse like "the hiring class was cancelled" or "there is currently a hiring freeze put in place by upper management". In my opinion these practices are nearly criminal in the view that they waste the prospective employees time. Pay and benefits are solid if you actually do get hired here, but I would venture to say that at least 2/3 of interviews conducted are legitmately only used to practice the internal interviewing process or too meet interview quotas in accordance of affirmative action. Additionally, if you are not a republican don't expect to be a part of the ol boys club here, really it is a very cliquey place to work and I would not waste your time long-term with this business.

Pros

There are a lot of really smart people that work at Uline and the facilities are amazing.

Cons

An incredibly micromanaging and unsupportive environment. I worked here for 4 years at their corporate location and was grossly underpaid. All employees are required to work 45 hours a week and it’s a strict 8-5. You have to ask you boss permission just to come in 15 minutes late or leave 15 minutes early. Only 16 days of PTO a year which wouldn’t be bad if you didn’t have to use PTO just for doctors appointments and if there was some flexibility or work from home option but no one at all is allowed to work from home. Dress code is business professional and you actually get written up for not following it. People are quitting left and right but management refuses to make any changes to improve company culture. Literally every single employee i was close with is thinking about leaving because of how bad it is. The owners are huge Trump supporters and politics is always talked about all day, everyday by everyone. No matter your political leanings it gets exhausting. If you do one thing wrong it’s like the end of the world. No room for employees to be humans and make mistakes at all even when learning.

Pros

Nice facility Hefty year end bonus

Cons

The employees are at Uline are either 1) drinking the Uline kool-aid and love it Or 2) bored with the work, and hate everything about it When you’re interviewing or first hired at Uline, HR will say something like “the bad reviews on Glassdoor are just extremely disgruntled former employees and you shouldn’t listen to it.” But what people write is true. Dress code, clocking in and out, micro-managed sooo much, etc. I worked there for about 20 months and I think it was a fine job. But at the end of the day, this company isn’t good long-term for fresh grads or anyone else. Hope this helps whoever is out there!
