For those reading this who do not work in the engineering consulting industry, I will provide an explanation of what the reviewer is alluding to. This person is an 'exempt' employee, meaning that they work in a position with a salary (not a job with an hourly wage), with no requirement to pay overtime according to U.S. pay regulations. Like some other companies in our industry, Ulteig provides additional pay when salaried employees work over 40 hours of billable work per week. The rationale being that those hours are generally chargeable to a client, and generate revenue for the firm. The individual is correct that Ulteig does not provide additional compensation for other hours worked.
