It's great to hear you are having a rewarding experience at UMA and we definitely appreciate your feedback. Hearing how fulfilled you are helping our students and making their dreams come true is inspiring and definitely fits into the student-first mission we have at UMA. Thank you as well for the feedback on the quotas. They relate to our dedication to each and every UMA student to help them find a career in their program field. Thanks for making UMA great and being a part of our family! You make UMA a great place to work and for that, we thank you!

Pros

There used to be a decent starting wage.

Cons

The lack of professionalism displayed by employees and managers alike is staggering. I have witnessed profanities spewed, drinking on the job, and even twerking in morning meetings. Most representatives barely have a high school education and have little to no corporate experience, but this is possibly intentional so that they can more easily relate to the poorly educated student body. Used car sales tactics emotional manipulation are employed to dupe desperate, impressionable, single mothers into incurring tens of thousands of dollars in debt to receive training for positions that pay little over minimum wage and usually do not even require more than a high school diploma.

We’re sorry your employment experience at UMA did not live up to your expectations. While we endeavor to be a great place to work, we know there is always opportunity for improvement. With constructive feedback from our staff and students we support, we will continue to evolve as an organization and achieve new heights as a team. UMA is committed to providing an educational experience that maximizes value to our students in a professional, supportive and ethical environment. We are pleased with our ability to place the majority of our students in the field of study upon their graduation. Additionally, we continue to monitor and track the success of our alumni students with Ultimate Medical Academy. As most of us would agree, the purpose of achieving our education is to find a position that we are interested in, and qualified to perform. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and thank you for your time at UMA.

Pros

Best reasons for working here can be described as overwhelming but fulfilling. I love the atmosphere and the group of individuals I'm surrounded with. There's never a dull or boring day unless you set your goals to be just that. The minute I walk in, I am inspired to do better for my students. I believe in their dreams as much as they believe in themselves. At the end of the day, if I changed at least one person then I know I have done my part at UMA. I love what I do because I'm also setting personal gains and goals for myself. Management does know what it takes for us to put all of what we have into one conversation, so they really try to keep us upbeat and on our toes with games, activities, and FOOD! Let's not forget the REDBULL!!!!!

Cons

The most challenging aspect of working here is that all students are not the same. For some, it is a bit easier to talk to each student the same way as the last. But for me it is about the comfort level and trying not to sympathize with them so much. That's one thing we are trained not to do is sympathize but you can't help but to feel some type of way about students who don't have a dime to their names. Yes, I do think about what I have done but I also know at some point in their life, this education
