Pros

Pay and free things are what makes this job great

Cons

Even after your 90days your still walking on eggshells shell you can enroll all the students you want but no one wants to pay that much for online school when most of the careers can be trained on-site for free so no one starts school. So they let you go in your numbers are down so definitely have resume updated because even 5 years with company they will toss you out fast

Pros

There are no pros in working at UMA after the changes in leadership.

Cons

Unstable work environment, turn over rate is very high (every month a great amount of people are/will get let go), UMA do not follow their company's values, not a family work environment, and no positive change has been made to benefit their student of employees.

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for your work in support of our value to Champion Student Outcomes. We are an institution committed to continuous improvement and achieving our mission to equip and empower students to excel in healthcare careers. We work hard to live our value to Commit to Employee Success by building long term professional relationships with those who work in Career Services by being transparent in the expectations of all new and existing team members. We understand the environment is not for everyone, so we reiterate those expectations throughout Career Service Advisor (CSA) interviews, onboarding, training, and daily work in the student support center. Any changes we made in Career Services are designed to make a positive difference in the work experience of CSA’s at UMA and in helping our students launch or advance their careers in healthcare.

Pros

None at all!! Very unprofessional and unorganized

Cons

they basically gave me the job after 3 scrutinizing & very long interviews, after job onboarding and on the first day of work was told that a person with the same first and last name as he was selected and not me!! A complete waste of time ,. They couldn’t even explain how any of this happened either.

Dear Candidate, We are sorry for the error in extending an offer to you for employment. You are right, we meant to offer the position to someone with your same name. As soon as we found out about the mix-up, we asked you not to come to work. However, you disregarded our instructions and we had to reinforce that you were not hired. Again, we apologize for the mix-up. Best wishes for your future.
