      Pros

      I think the people leaving negative reviews are mostly fresh grads who have never worked anywhere else. Grass is always greener syndrome. Everywhere is busy. I ha e had FAR worse professional experiences.... Ive worked in-house and agency side and I can say Umbra is a great place to work. Subsidized lunches, great discount on great product, amazing coworkers and the chance to work for a privately owned Canadian company.

      Cons

      Head office is in Scarborough, so if you don't like to commute, not for you. Getting time with the executive team is a little tough, as they are very busy.

      Good product discounts! 50% off on any item!

      Cons

      The executives are very unprofessional, they ask designers to work on personal projects, like birthday invitations for their family reunions or designing restaurant menus for their family's restaurant. If you don't want to do it, you get fired. Very bad company to work for.

      Pretty stressful work environment, sometimes a bit shady. I didn't see much potential for growth but its a decent company for new grads. Very large turn over rate as well.
