      Pros

      Looks like Ebenezer scrooge visited this year and not Santa. There was ample money left over from all the functions we were unable to carry out the the employees should have received a cash bonus rather than a blanket and Caramel corn!

      Cons

      Flexible time you don't actually participate in. Ability to work remote.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We certainly care about all of our employees, and we are sorry to hear that you didn’t appreciate our efforts to celebrate the holiday season. Our Holiday Drive-Thru event was a “safe” way to see each other, share some holiday treats/gifts, and wish each other a “Happy Holiday” in person. We also extended holiday cheer by purchasing additional gifts that employees were able to select and have delivered to their homes during the holiday season. These are unique times and this year has looked different. As in past years, we will also share in the company’s success through our annual profit-sharing bonus in March. We are open to hearing more about what would make you feel cared about and encourage you to contact Human Resources to share your insights.

      Pros

      Career development, Employee focused, Personal and group recognition as well as a stable and growing company. Personally I appreciate the flexibility.

      Cons

      We could use an additional full time UA.

      We’re happy to hear that you feel recognized and supported at Umialik! We also appreciate your suggestions on how to make Umialik an even better place to work. We’re looking at setting up two additional workstations in the training room, as well as obtaining additional furniture to accommodate more work space. In regard to an additional UA, we are in the process of evaluating work flows and work volumes. Thank you for your feedback and for being a long-time Umialik employee!

      A great place to work that allows me to grow in my chosen field while having work life balance!

      Pros

      Open and inviting work environment with room to grow in my chosen field with support for insurance education. This company encourages work life balance, commits resources (time and money) to our communities, and has a great benefits package.

      Cons

      PTO accumulation is a little slow after the initial 15 days provided, i.e. earn a day a year after 5 years.
