Thank you for sharing this feedback and actually the reason we do so much coaching. We want to set you up for success as much as possible. Our customers expect a satisfactory experience with every contact, and we do understand there are times where productivity, quality or efficiency may not be the same, but it is why we are coaching to ensure we use the feedback given to enhance the customer experience and know if there is a bigger problem- we can use the proper resources needed to help, whether it be just not feeling well or something to discuss with HR. Thanks again for sharing your experience with us and for your contributions to UG!

No Work Life Balance

Pros

The other workers are great! The space where the company is located is great.

Cons

Absolutely NO WORK LIFE BAL. Standing for long hours and hurded like cattle for lunch breaks. Having to test for covid every two weeks and fit that in an already schedule that gives the company 12 hours of your day (incl travel) and some ppl travel even longer I've heard over 2 hour commutes.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Our 4th quarter holiday season is a very busy time for the majority of our company. The demand has certainly increased and the workload has multiplied. Our expectation for leads to cover 6 days a week (over a 3-week period) is to be able to have the opportunity to earn overtime earnings but to also develop and establish their relationship with their team as these key weeks from November to December see our demand really skyrocket. We definitely do not wish to burden anyone and are definitely looking to avoid any burnout. We do suggest talking to a manager to discuss what possible accommodations could be made to your schedule. We also do understand the physicality of the role of the warehouse floor is constantly moving. We do encourage our team members to take a break in the middle of their shift to help alleviate this as again, our holiday season does tend to get very busy. We appreciate your sharing this concern. Part of the job description with this role is to be able to handle the physical requirements of the role, especially as a lead, who needs to monitor, support, and motivate your team in order to ensure efficiency and productivity. We encourage you to reach out to hr@uncommongoods.com if there is something more we can do to help and thank you for all that you are doing.
