      Sad Ending to an Enjoyable Relationship

      Pros

      Lovely workplace, friendly staff and residents. Decent pay. Work with a great team. Managers and staff routinely take time to let me know how much my contribution is appreciated, even on hectic days due to a staffing shortage.

      Cons

      Vaccine mandate. Willingly submitted to weekly Covid-19 testing, using proper PPE and sanitary and social distancing protocol, ever-more elaborate paperwork, being required to scan my paperwork into an electronic database for purposes unknown and having my vaccine status broadcast to my fellow employees. Feels like the 40 minute commute at 5:30 a.m. in all kinds of weather, for several years - which I was more than happy to do - meant absolutely nothing to the powers-that-be. And that's a shame.
