With over 12.5 years of experience in operations management, I found working at Unilever in Maharashtra, India, to be very rewarding. During my time as an Operations Supervisor from February 2013 to December 2015, I managed daily manufacturing processes and workforce scheduling. I also contributed to implementing Lean tools, which improved cycle time by around 15%, enhancing overall operational efficiency. Working closely with the supply chain teams, I helped optimize inventory levels to ensure smooth production flow. The role allowed me to deepen my expertise in managing complex operations within a global company, while also learning the importance of teamwork and continuous improvement. Cons
Occasionally, some processes could take bit longer due to multiple approval layers, but this is common in large multinational companies and didn’t significantly affect the overall experience.
