Pros

Manager title for a fortune 200 company has tremendous clout within the logistics industry. Pay is very rewarding if you perform at a good level. Management benefits are not at the same level as union employees.

Cons

Long hours and very limited time off for unexpected emergencies. Due to management having to cover themselves when others take a vacation. Little time for work life balance as you move into higher management roles.

Pros

Excellent Benefits, interesting problems, relatively advanced technology.

Cons

Stack Ranking reviews with enforced ratios alongside a "reward performance" ideology. "Bottom 10%" must be found and penalized (even just after low performers were released). Jack Welch would be proud. Leaders like to imagine it's a desirable place to work, but it's been a cost-cutting, third tier organization for the past decade. Closed off the ability to advance aside from lower paid recent graduates.
