Pros
Decent pay and benefits. I’ve made some pretty good friends and got to see some pretty scenery.
Cons
Shareholders and operating ratio first, safety last. The precision railroading model is a joke. It’s just a numbers manipulation game so the shareholders and Fritz make more money. Constantly trying to find a way to eliminate workforce to drive the operating ratio down so yet again, Fritz and the shareholders make more money. You don’t get any scheduled days off and the attendance policy they forced down our throats basically lets you take one sick day a month. If you exceed one day off a month, they terminate you. The unions have no power and the company does whatever they please with no regard to agreements. You’re just a replaceable number on a seniority roster. Hands down the worst company I have ever worked for.
