Stay away from sales at Union!

Pros

It's a great product, and there are some good people working there. Good pay if OTE was attainable, decent benefits and flexibility in making your own schedule.

Cons

The company churns through salespeople at an alarming rate, often firing people with no warning or chance to improve. It's a much more difficult and longer sale than management realizes, and expectations for salespeople are not realistic. This is not a place where a professional sales person can thrive and grow. I was miserable here and super glad to be gone. No one makes OTE, so it's pretty much a meaningless number. Even the veterans on the sales team are not coming close to OTE, leading to a very poor culture on the sales team. The CEO's leadership style is fear based and extremely negative. He talks about needing varsity level players on his team, but the reality is that this is freshmen level leadership that does not foster a varsity level culture of success.

Pros

Free alcohol working with clients

Cons

Toxic culture fueled by CEO’s ego and poorly conceived ideas, zero transparency or communication from leadership, and unorganized ways of working. You’ll be in chaos mode 24/7. There is consistent top talent turnover because it just sucks to work at Union and will do you no favors of advancing your career or learning. Check out the Glassdoor reviews for Union’s sister company TabbedOut. Even after many years those reviews stand true. I wouldn’t recommend working at Union to anyone. Join at your own risk.
