Pros

If you're truly someone that wants to be a retail store manager and rank your way up then this job will be for you. It allows people to work their way up, promote and learn. I can't speak for what the work will be like once you reach a certain stage but from what I've seen its stressful af and not really worth imo. Just know that its a japanese company and that comes with HIGH standards to maintain a store and everything within. With this means no sleep and no life. I think this company tries to put on this image of "our work environment is structured" but its really not

Cons

So many things wrong with this place: - work culture here is superr toxic, consists of managers/supervisors playing favoritism towards certain staff, misogyny and if you aren't cut out for the retail environment they notice right away and play favorites as mentioned before - the toxic work culture means even if youve tried your best and worked hard, if a superior doesn't favor you then there's nothing you can do and usually means you'll have a hard time promoting. they make it seem like you can easily rank up as you get better but it actually involves some superiors favoring and recommending you - full-time benefits aren't that great - employee discount is mid - slow season is usually January to March, PT expect 0-5hrs/week - If you want a PT job and ur not here for long just look elsewhere bc youll be overlooked for not "committing your life" to the job - you're expected to know "the standards" but they barely train you on certain aspects and educate new hires so in the beginning a lot are lost and made to feel guilty for not knowing how to do certain things even though management isn't helping - supervisors assign you to a task with a time target, however they'll cut the time in half expecting you to be finished a 1 hr task in 30 min - unrealistic expectations for staff regarding time targets, performance, OTing, and just wanting ppl to do the absolute most to kiss the companys a - I see a lot of reviews saying they've met nice people here. I'd say you meet a few nice people but with that comes with A LOT of rude, inconsiderate, inpatient, toxic and cliquey ppl. Just full of ppl talking behind your back especially regarding your performance which is always being monitored - The company thinks they've got it all laid out and organized with these standards etc but theres so many flaws that aren't addressed - honestly just save your time and yourselves from working here
