Pros
Reasonable work-life balance unless one is in the support vertical operating 24/7. Good opportunities for self development and education with the support of financial reimbursement. A system which despite its very obvious flaws, manages to endear itself to a patient employee much like a home with a heavy mortgage constantly looming.
Cons
Totally incompetent middle and senior management. Lack of vision. No strategic planning or decision making capabilities. Reactive not Proactive. Minimal transparency whether global affairs, internal job postings, policy changes. No opportunities for growth unless one is in cohorts and praises aforementioned incompetence. Measures to retain employees include cutting all benefits and increasing the notice period as opposed to so many logical methods.
