      Pros

      can be a flexible work environment. Easy to manipulate technology if you're in IT. Most of your fellow coworkers are good people.

      Cons

      Local senior management does not disclose information to employees. Unisys is a reactive instead of proactive environment, requiring people to work weekends/nights/holidays and then not compensate for time. NO raises for two years, yet responsibilities continue to mount up.

      Pros

      Opportunities to to work in different domains - from telecoms to public sector to finance. Can be home based. Number of offices around the country. Can work from home when necessary. The people are very nice

      Cons

      Company constantly in re structuring mode, management very cetralised and in-flexible. Constant cost cutting by redundancies, benefits reductions and .

      Pros

      Good initial contracting money and experience. If you are brand new, you'll be given some training and a foot in the door as a contract worker.

      Cons

      Pay is not really equalt to market for experienced professionals. The official "non-policy" regarding overtime is an issue as well regarding contractors. Employees at my site are regularly asked to work extra hours without compensation for the sake of not passing on costs to the client, and then denied time off when it is requested.
