Pros
Unisys has a lot of sharp, hard-working, and very competent employees. The company is capable of delivering innovative services by utilizing expertise that is already in place if they will start to invest in solution development again.
Cons
Unisys prevents itself from being successful by re-organizing every year. The company is currently in a death spiral-- every quarter, top line revenue goes down. Unisys responds by cutting costs (layoffs, eliminating services, etc.) so the top line revenue goes down again the next quarter. Then Unisys cuts costs again. It's a downward spiral. Don't pay attention to profit statements when checking long-term health. Profit is being derived by cost-cutting. If there is no top-line revenue growth, then Unisys is approaching a cliff when existing orders dry up and cost-cutting has stopped the company from replacing them with new business.
