High turnover of talented people. Unisys seems to have difficulty retaining real talent becuse of their low salary and poor management practices. Poor communication between management and lower level staff . Instead of fixing poor management practices and waste, Unisys chose to save money by freezing pay increases, cutting back employee benefits, cutting and reducing sick leave and reducing health insurance coverage. The health insurance used to be one of the best available, but now is almost as bad as not having insurance. I lost respect for Unisys when they outsourced their internal helpdesk to India. IT support is supposed to be what Unisys is all about.

Financial performance, complex matrix structure, unfocused portfolio. Unisys suffers from a small company behaving like a big company syndrome. At one point it was the second largest IT firm after IBM, but miscue, lack of direction, missed opportunities have made its future less than bright. There is too much overhead, and disjointed portfolio, and a lack of investment in the marketing and sales.
