Pros

Plenty of shifts, always hiring

Cons

bad work environment, poor training, little room for advancement. People are treated as replaceable items, and as such there is a focus on how to minimize the expense spent on them.

Pros

The work at AESD is easy

Cons

When I interviewed the recruiter promised many things that never happened. He promised to reimburse me for the cost of the certifications and he promised if I took a lower job I would get promoted to a more technical position within a few months. Over a year later and no higher technical positions were ever created. When I started I signed up for medical, dental and vision and Unisys took money out of every check to cover it. Over a year after being with Unisys I got sick and tried to use my medical insurance only to find out I didn't have any. It turned out Unisys pocketed the money from my check and never signed me up for medical. After bringing it up to Unisys benefits they said they wouldn't pay me back for the year of money Unisys stole and I was out of luck. The local management team was helpful but corporate would not budge .

Pros

You can say you have a job. Or you could say your a slave.

Cons

All of it. All India dispatch. Completely clueless. The managers are all remote as well and haven't left there homes in years. They have no idea what reality is and they do not want to know. No raises no training. They provide 5 year old CBTs and claim that is training. They motivate employees with threats and intimidation. Work harder or get fired. Getting fired was the best thing that could have happened to me. The old men that work there basically sit on there jobs as they ride to retirement. If your the new guy it is your back that will carry the load. The cost cutting continues even when it is affects customer sat. It a cheap 3rd party company that is exploited by Dell to save money on actually hiring and training Engineers. Eventually they will sell the entire thing to India. So prepared to be lied to from the beginning. There is no training and there are no promotions or raises. Do not believe a word they say. You have been warned.
