Pros

Great team work. Family atmosphere. UHS has an inspiring vision and mission to improve the health of its immediate and surrounding communities providing many valuable and often limited services including behavior health, dialysis, and weight management.

Cons

I did not have any negative experiences at UHS but did find that Senior and Top level management often missed opportunities to personally reward and recognize individual long term loyal employees which was disheartening for those retiring from a lifetime of work with UHS and set a poor example for new hires in whom you are trying to instill loyalty. However, they were very supportive and encouraging during employment and sought out internal employees for new challenges that they thought would be successful.

Pros

Pay is good for location. Benefits are good but a little costly. Vacation time is accrued base on time employeed and how many hours you work. Longterm, full time employees get more than enough vacation time. Opportumitiets to transfer with in UHS to different department if you are looking for a change/promotion.

Cons

health insurance is made to make it so you if you choose to go outside of UHS for care you pay ALOT. Sometimes theres a doctor you've had and want to keep, if there not UHS thats sometimes hard. There is NO options for health ins. its one plan. Managment from the new food and nutrtion company can be difficult to work with.

Pros

Your co-workers are usually wonderful, a nice work family.

Cons

Management as a whole semms to not care about their subordinates. They seem to be of the mindset that you are dispenable and treat you as such no matter how much you bend over backwards to help them and the department.
