Pros

The staff are great people, among the best I have ever worked with. There is a lot more flexibility and negotiation involved in methods, procedures, and general practices than the other schools where I have worked. There is a culture of professional learning that is very supportive of hearing and solving problems across org units and levels.

Cons

It can be difficult to adjust to classes where there are wide ranges of abilities, different courses, and student ages. Tailoring lesson plans and methods takes a lot of careful planning and management.

Pros

- Great coworkers - Shared mission and values - Good opportunities to diversify skills and increase professional knowledge base - Annual cost of living increases - Hybrid work for most employees available - 14 paid holidays - Ample sick time - Vacation time that increases the longer you work at the agency

Cons

- No clinical supervisors available pretty much at all to supervise for licesnsure - Most positions do not offer enough clinical hours for which to use towards clinical licensure - Pay is lower than outside agencies because UMFS is a non-profit - TFC on-call is a requirement for many and is a headache
