Pros

Benefits are excellent (until January 2011), nature of the work, sense of accomplishment, enlighted management

Cons

Almost everyone will be laid off next year. Those who are left will have an awful benefits package.

Pros

40 hr week. Steady paycheck while it lasted. The Area is very nice as you have the gulf beach. I was treated pretty good with relocation expenses.

Cons

Worthless skills to market and sell. Good old boy network with strings. Low pay. The drive to and from work seems to have a lot of people driving fast and in an unsafe manner. The problem is not with the company but with some of the people you have in this good old boy network. Politics is a way of life here. Work performance metrics is determined by politics and not performance. Massive Layoffs are coming in 2011with the market flooded with older people who have been there for over 20 years.

Pros

Good entry level position, gets to work on all phases of software development. great benefits and management is very supportive with helping you balance personal/professional life

Cons

uses some of the old technology...other than that, i cannot think of the downside to working at USA. i think its a great place to be.
