Pros
IF you are lucky enough to get a good manager, your career can grow to the limit of your ability. UTC's global structure and diverse businesses give you multiple paths if you are willing to work for and earn those opportunities.
Cons
A bad manager can torpedo your career, or at least stall you dead in your tracks. The corporate HR processes leave much to be desired. In spite of the corporation's global footprint, far too much is Connecticut-centric. If you're not known in the Hartford area, you frequently don't even exist.
