Very troubling environment

Pros

Great perks; free company coffee bar, gym, discounted day care, bonus and stock options are very nice

Cons

Absolutely no development of staff, middle management is not empowered to make decisions or have additions to headcount to build effective teams. This leads to tons of micro-management, exhausted workers, mistrust of HR in how they assist the workers and listen to concerns. The company has inspirational CEO's and other c-level executives, but the horrific contradiction in how policies are created, communicated, or implemented leads to mistrust in middle management and especially HR.

Free coffee........on-site gym ( if you are actually able to use it!)

Cons

Management is inconsistent and inconsiderate. They picture of flexibility that the company portrays is a farce, management will scold you if you have to work remotely even when you have a sick child at home. Expect you to work on all major holidays even christmas ....this should have been disclosed during the interview process!

Cons

United Therapeutics is a bizarre place to work. Senior leadership is arrogant, lacks experience and strategic focus. Of all the PAH companies they are last when it come to R & D. Current products are old and there is nothing exciting in the pipeline in the near future. They compensate employees well however the treat their employees like disposable commodities.
