Pros

Hybrid work environment There are some passionate, caring people who work at UW that have dedicated years to giving back to the community.

Cons

Low pay with NO professional growth opportunities. Don't expect a raise or title adjustment when they reward you with more responsibilities for doing your job well. Poor upper management/leadership. It's everyman for themselves and leadership wants the praise for your work. Expect to be spoken down to, treated as less than, and replaceable. HR will not so much as lift a finger if you voice any concerns and it's been that way for 12+ years. They refuse to reprimand or even confront bad employee behavior. They keep the bad eggs and wonder why they have a high turnover. Expect to pay for parking and walk a ways to the office in an unsafe part of downtown.

Pros

The work they do for the community is really worth- while.

Cons

1)You don’t get paid enough to live. 2)You are expected to work way more than 40 hours with no additional pay. 3)It’s completely acceptable and even lauded for a manager to be completely unprofessional and lecture people about personal ethics rather than deal with the problem at hand and help solve it. 4)You are given zero control of any aspect of your job, and then when things go sideways you are told you need to take responsibility for your projects.

Pros

Lots of resources with technology Great co workers Good pay for non-profit

Cons

Very toxic culture that is started from the top down. Many employees fear retaliation if they are to speak up. There is HIGH turnover, but no one seems to care about it. The new CEO is just bringing in colleagues from his former workplace, which is fine, but they are not the right fit for the positions they are in. Executive leadership loves to gossip and hide in their offices. The health insurance is absolutely awful.
