Pros

Great experience learning the business of fundraising. If you are interested in learning the ins and outs of philanthropy and how to cultivate donors this is a great place to be.

Cons

Lots of politics and racial undertones. There are a lot of people that hire based on friendship and politics. The climate can make you feel unappreciated and they are usually based on personal feelings.

Pros

You learn a lot about what nonprofits needs are.

Cons

The work culture is horrible with a top down leadership style that is stifling.

Pros

It is great non-profit organization to work for. As a beginner, you have great opportunities to gain tax preparation experience.

Cons

However, this is the volunteer program, so it is not paid.
