Pros

The work is meaningful and rewarding. The brand is well known, but also a double-edge sword. Either prospective donors LOVE United Way or Hate it! The national compensation scandal a few years ago is still remembered.

Cons

This United Way has too many six-figure salaried executives.

Pros

Great experience networking with community leaders and flexible hours. Very rewarding to help people. competitive pay and good benefits for non-profit work.

Cons

no commissions or regular 6 month reviews for personal growth. Taking on extra work for little recognition or compensation is common. Lofty unrealistic goals.
