Pros

It feels good to give back to the community and to know that people who truly need help are getting the assistance they need. It also is good to be able to connect those who want to help with those that need the help.

Cons

Underpaid for amount of hours put into the work.

Pros

The United Way is a wonderful organization and does so much good for the community. My role there was to run the annual campaign and do community presentations about giving, volunteering and advocating to benefit those less fortunate than us in society.

Cons

Due to the cyclical nature of the annual campaign and our recent economic downturn it is very difficult to do long range planning with the United Way.
