      A fantastic organization of committed individuals doing important work.

      Pros

      A relaxed but professional environment, surrounded by passionate individuals who are collectively working hard to make a significant difference to the community they live in.

      Cons

      United Way could benefit from an increase in cross departmental collaboration. Often times the individual departments have limited interaction/contact with each other and this leads to a lack of understanding/mistrust of the important roles played by each department.

      Pros

      - POSITIVE impact on people's lives! Numbers don't lie. - Our daily work IS "making a difference", what most want in their present job - or seek in the next. - Contrary to popular belief for nonprofits, pay is very market-competitive for like positions, and benefits are beyond.

      Cons

      - Positive community perception of 10% admin ratio impedes hiring of staff (translation: creates culture of "busyness" with little time for planning/reflection). - Busyness drives some siloed behavior. Laser focus on own department due to only so many hours in a day. - Intensity of work can easily cause some to loose sight of importance of interpersonal relationships at work.

      Pros

      Work with a lot of really great people who really do want to help those in need. Great programs and services offered. Not enough done in my opinion.

      Refuse to comment as I don't want anyone coming after me
