Not enough pay for amount of responsibility

Pros

The feeling of helping others compared to working for a public sector organization is very rewarding. There benefits are fantastic.

Cons

You start to realize that there is a major focus on making money as a 'non-profit' but it seems as though this is mostly so that the senior staff can make their huge salaries. My position did not pay nearly enough as it should've, even for today's economy.

Pros

Great worker bees. Among line staff there is good chemistry and people work well together.

Cons

Senior management are very "Top Down". CEO manages by judging others openly. Very hostile senior team. Turnover is high and advancement opportunities are very rare. No diversity in organization -- especially in management positions.
