Pros

Family atmosphere, great space to work, collaborative environment, complex social issues

Cons

lack of employee development opportunities, lack of feedback on job performance, too little day-to-day leadership, decisions made with hardly any data to back them up, willy nilly spending of money, high focus on fund raising with seemingly no clue of how to use the money once it's raised.

Pros

Great staff. Fun people to work with throughout the organization. A really good mission and a great organization overall. Org is supportive of ways in which employees would like to grow

Cons

A bad economy means that everyone has to take on more, so a lot of people are overworked and stretched too thin. It's good in that it's challenging, but does burn people out.
