Pros

UnitedHealth offers the ability to work from home as a telecommuter after you have been on the job long enough to show good production and quality scores. There is also a good deal of flexibility when requesting time off.

Cons

A downside is that there is a lot of information to learn about Policies and payment procedures. You are expected to keep to a production schedule that does not always leave time for complete research.

Pros

They have 15 days of vacation to start.

Cons

There is no training. No communication from management unless it's negative (and it will come as a surprise since they don't have one to ones like most companies do). No team unity at all.

Pros

Great diversity of people in the workplace (age, race, sex and personality). Good work and life balance. Allows telecommuting.

Cons

United has become very large and it is hard to navigate in such a highly matrixed environment. Leadership does not do well with communicating strategy at the division level where accomplishments are supposed to happen. There is poor implementation planning and execution of said company strategy. Role definitions are vague and there's not much definition on career pathing and development.
