Pros

The health benefits are affordable for now.

Cons

The bonuses are very bad. The annual increases are even worse. If you don't get the salary you want when you get hired you're dead in the water because you're not going to get it when it comes time for annual increases. Oh yeah, they only have promotions in April. They rather hire from the outside than promote people. They are the best at nickel and diming you.

Pros

Great location, good compensation, awesome co-workers. Plenty of PTO, and the company is flexible when you can use it. The industry is relatively stable and recession resistant.

Cons

Company suffers from a massive bureaucracy that makes it difficult to get anything done. Company is also very slow to embrace new technology and seems to place roadblocks under the veil of it being a 'security risk'. Project oriented focus makes it difficult to advanced its technical infrastructure.

Pros

Talented management. Company generally considered a leader in its field. Commitment to innovate and to find profitable ways to reduce the number of uninsured people. Good opportunity for advancement due to size of company and its large portfolio of businesses.

Cons

Slow moving (sometimes, it takes weeks just waiting for decisions) and political ("let's have a pre-meeting for the pre-meeting, so everyone is on board in the actual meeting"). Relationships count more than job skills for promotions (a plus for some, actually). Pay and benefits are so-so. Many employees don't like the high-deductible health plan (only medical option offered) because it's very costly for those with chronic conditions (incl. pregnancy).
