Plenty of opportunity to grow a career at Unitrends

Pros

Unitrends is a hard-charging company with plenty of opportunity for career growth if you are willing to work hard. Management looks to place employees in positions where they can best contribute to the business and succeed. I have been with Unitrends for a number of years and have seen plenty of promotions from within. There has been turnover at the executive level over the past two years and I believe the company has made good decisions this past summer, putting the right people in place and setting the stage for another period of rapid revenue growth. The product is excellent and benefits from consistent leadership over a number of years. This is an area where Unitrends has not had a lot of personnel changes other than additions of experienced and capable engineers and product managers. Pay and benefits are very good for a company the size of Unitrends.

Cons

When change happens, and there has been change on the sales and marketing side of the house, it often takes a few quarters to get back on track. Unitrends has gone through this and it can be difficult if you are in sales. The good news is the company is back in growth mode with a stronger team in place.

Unitrends: Phase 3

Pros

Have some of the best people I've worked with. I love selling the product - everyone knows that they need backup & with the cloud, hardware, software we sell we can go beyond that with the DRAAS & RDR. When I get in a competitive deal, I can crush it. Need more competitive deals. Feels like when Im in a deal that there are a lot of people there to help - not like other places. Like our customer support a lot now - really like bringing back from before 2015 the grades & comments of every customer every day. Been using that in what I do. The old management team - the one from 2015 - is largely gone - and thats a very very good thing. The new people seem like no BS people who put buyers & partneres & customers & employees ahead of themselves and their egos. And you dont have to worry about being fired for disagreeing with things.

Cons

Expectations are high Burlington commute can suck Company is not widely known Used to have free lunch every day; now only a few days Still too much bureaucracy from 2015 days Need to go to a beach for presidents club
