Lack of vision and leadership

Pros

The offices are great. Decent career opportunities if you join the right team at the right time, + people are constantly leaving, so positions open up.

Cons

Pre-IPO, Unity was 5/5 with a fantastic culture, but it's been downhill since then. Most top talent that made Unity successful have left or been forced out. A lot of floaters with 0 passion are left. Compensation is not competitive. Values are just for show. Lack of expertise and knowledge in middle management. More managers than actual people who can execute. Meetings-to-have-more-meetings culture. Minimum of one re-org per year, and employees don't get a say in where they end up. More processes than action. Lack of investment in employee retention or growth.

Ruined by lack of visibility and transparency

Pros

- Good competitive salaries - Very skilled teams and great talents - Flexible working

Cons

- Extremely top down, even VP level fears the one above and hides information from them so that the ship sails! - Too much engineering driven, a lot of money is wasted in paying people millions for projects that had quite poor planning and market validity - Full of egoistic leaders
