Unattainable sales goals. Unable to learn much about the industry. Management has no backbone.

Good local people at branch. Decent benefits.

Cons

Too many to list. If you can, stay away from this horror show. As with most big companies, they only care about the all-mighty dollar and could care-less about you and your family. Upper management is blinded by their own perceived image in the mirror to actually understand what their branches need. Everything is run by email and an 1985 computer system. Awesome for time travel if you're into that. I can't stress enough to stay away from Univar.

The company is the leader in North America. SO largest market share and access to a large range of suppliers and chemicals

Cons

The company became public. There is a lot of focus on cost cutting and reduced personnel in many departments. This puts pressure on employees. Also budget expectations are very high.
