Pros

Great health care, work facilities are very nice. Tons of free music. Depending on department, flexible hours. No formal dress code.

Cons

Pay is terrible and non-existent promotions. Now where you work in this company is very vital to your experience. The Woodland Hills location is operated like a cold bank, the only saving grace is the lunch room/arcade combo. People are not very social, management is completely out of touch with the climate of "today's" music business. As a whole the company is completely out of touch with technology and are very behind. I've worked for some pretty big corporations and this is by far the slowest moving and least innovative. UMG is still trying to adapt an aging business model molded after physical product. In short it's a sinking ship with a lot of patches. Understand this about the music business, they'd rather keep a head than take a pay cut. Ambition is not praised it is restricted.
