Decent music company - really good musical artists

Cons

Very hard to get a promotion - would have to stay at the company a very long time to be even considered for the next step up. Hard to get a decent raise or bonus. Bonuses mostly given to radio promotion and sales staff.

Pros

-Great experience -Good place to make connections -Large market share (we own most of the labels) -International production department has a manageable workload, compared to domestic production -Great coworkers

Cons

-Hard to move up within a department, often have to jump to another dept or company. -Some departments, like domestic production, are overworked with multiple combined labels. -Mass layoffs happen every year or two. -Salary doesn't increase very fast in this department (2% increase per year is tough for some to live off of in expensive NYC)

very strong culture, great employee benefits, great employment security, strong player on the market, great brand, professionals in many fields/departments. Completely focused on external customer.

Cons

hierarchic, very strong culture, with top down management, inflexible, slow in implementing changes, improvements. Good for followers of rules, not for free spirit.
