Pros

Fair pay and one of the better places to work but keep in mind--it is corporate. Don't let the fact that it is for a music company sway you, it isn't like that. It can be a nice environment , people playing music from their offices, super friendly people, laughter but keep the personal stuff to yourself. Perks include six releases or one box set every other month (but if it's not in stock, you don't get it and you lose one of your selections), access to free merch, music and tix.

Cons

Politics run amok in the environment, people cow-tow to those in higher positions and some of those in higher positions expect just that. One year the top executives from Europe came and it was as if the Queen of England had arrived. People didn't talk around them, the environment was tense, I actually witnessed someone purposely not turn the heat up when it was freezing because one of these executives set the temperature while they were there one day. They keep department staff small to cut costs, put some people on salary and then have them work 55-70 hours a week and encourage you to work weekends to get the work done--I'm not talking occasionally or even during a deadline but as a regular duty.

Pros

A lot of trust placed in less senior employees - a great opportunity to gain great exposure and experience it would otherwise be difficult to attain.

Cons

The music industry is struggling on the whole so they are unable to offer market rate. BUT the experience is a fantastic one and more than makes up for the short fall in remuneration
