Pros

Learned some good skills. Company is a good stepping stone on your way to bigger and better opportunities.

Cons

Don't expect a raise. Expect office politics and games. The long term employees seem to be unhappy. For the most part the people are nice. Upper management not so much. Two-faced jerks.

UPC is definitely a company for someone that wants to expand their skillset. We love growing talent from within to be tomorrow's leaders. We have to disagree with your assumption that long term employees are unhappy. 70% of our current employees have been with UPC 4 years or longer and 50% of our team has been with UPC 10 years or longer. We have always made our employees a priority and are grateful for the many years of service provided by so many on our team.

We definitely agree our team is filled with nice, hard working team members. We are committed to providing a great employee experience and we're sorry to hear your perspective. We would never want an employee to feel the way you described and work daily to have employee feel engaged and happy to come to work at our company.

Pros

Learn and develop a range of skill sets involving a wide variety of manufacturing processes and materials. Gain a very high level of attention to detail. Learn to work with a variety of personality types and work through difficult situations on a daily basis. Learn to balance multiple projects & responsibilities.

Cons

Pay does not match what job requires/demands. Employees don't seem very valued. Very high job turnover throughout entire company. Much resistance to modernizing and increasing efficiency through updating day to day protocols and general document production/revision.

We echo your comments that UPC allows you to learn many different skills. Employees and customers alike are amazed at all the capabilities of our plant. We absolutely value our employees- leadership has ongoing conversations about how to provide a great employee experience weekly, if not daily. Having employees that are happy and engaged are a top priority for us. You mention high turnover, but 70% of our current employees have been with UPC 4 years or longer and 50% of our team has been with UPC 10 years or longer. When we hire team members, we want them to enjoy a long and successful career with us.
