Huge Disconnect Between Corporate and the Campuses
Pros
Most of the people that I worked with were great. There are a few divas in the corporation though. I found that most with that attitude were in the admissions department.
Cons
It really seems like there's a giant disconnect between the home office and the campuses. It's like they have no idea how the campuses operate or what the atmosphere is like at all. It's not a big surprise since the upper level management rarely visit any of the campuses. The company tends to overwork their employees too and ask them to do the job of two people sometimes or take on the responsibilities of another position without compensating for pay in any fashion. They talk about how they have to tighten their belts and how the "family" has to pull together to grow, but in the meantime they acquire other organizations and hire more VPs while the grunts of the company have to suck it up and take the hits. It's sad because the company used to value it's employees and students a lot more in the past. It truly has transformed into a "money first" company.
