Great charting system, uses EPIC which is very user friendly Medication system omnicelle is also fairly user friendly Unit culture is good, good teamwork mindset from majority of bedside nurses

Cons

Unit is in constant fluctuation with increasing patient census without appropriate hired staff. This can be overwhelming for staff. Mandatory on-call shifts, majority of the times you will get called in.

benefits are phenomenal, best insurance I have had in my life pto is generous and work-life balance

Cons

The benefits here are good, but the culture regarding career advancement is frustratingly one-sided. Unless you are in a clinical, billable role, opportunities for growth are virtually non-existent. I have seen clinical staff receive regular cost-of-living adjustments while support staff go without, despite facing the same economy. Even after obtaining significant additional qualifications and degrees, there has been no path to promotion. It is also demoralizing to witness a culture of favoritism where connections and "who you know" seem to matter more than merit or performance.
